It&apos;s faster to build, simpler to maintain, and I finally have full control over the design without fighting Ruby gem version hell.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The old site was mostly a skeleton anyway — now I&apos;m starting fresh with a setup I actually understand and can iterate on quickly.&lt;/p&gt;
